Oh dear… mood swings are back and patience is wearing thin! In the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy, it felt like the due date was so far away! I was getting so uncomfortable and my energy was declining again.
Willow was moving around so much which was an experience I will never forget, the movements were less fluttery like butterflies and more like swiping motions under my skin! The hardest thing to explain is the feeling of pregnancy. I was feeling very heavy and sore, working was becoming a struggle so I had to cut back on shifts as I was fast approaching my due date. Sleeping became more and more difficult as the urge to pee became more and more frequent – am I right mumma’s out there?
We had everything we could possibly need for the arrival of our little babe and then some, like I’ve said we still are yet to buy anything apart from formula and wipes. I was painting her cot and then once that was done I started to set up her room. This made me more impatient! I was finally able to organise my maternity shoot with J Murphy Photography, absolutley amazing.
I couldn’t have been happier with the turn out!
I had just started maternity leave at this point too because working was too hard for me now and I needeed to rest and prepare for baby. The next few appointments were good because discussion about the birth was making things clearer and clearer. Every appointment I was desperate for the doctor to give me an induction date, he kept giving me a rough estimate which was around the 38 week mark so I calculated the 27th September which would be 2 weeks and 1 day early. I was starting the countdown and every appointment I asked about induction. Then on my last appointment I was 37wks+4days and booked the induction for the Tuesday 26th September at 6am. I could stop giving myself Clexane injections which was such a relief!
Grant and I spent the next week playing games with our friends online anticipating that we might not have the time or want to play games for a few weeks once baby was here.
The night before the induction we played games for approximately 7 or 8 hours, it was super fun and I’m glad I got to do that because so much changed since having a baby. I still miss playing games but I just don’t have the time for a solid sit and play anymore. Hopefully when she gets a little older and starts sleeping all through the night it will be a little easier to plan game nights 🙂
